June 22nd was this month’s dance with Blue Western putting everyone in a dancing mood. Many thanks to the band for a country-rockin’ good time! Also thank you to Colleen and Krystyna who were on hand to lead the line dances. (Don’t forget line dancing is offered 3+ days a week – not only great exercise and fun but good for cognition too!) There was also some two stepping, free style and other dancing – all fun to watch even if dancing isn’t your thing.

The line dance workshop was held on June 7th – led by Jay Alexov. There were some regular attendees but also a few new people, including one young couple getting ready for their upcoming wedding – congratulations to them both!

July’s dance will be on the 20th with the Creek Big Band. Some of you will remember them from the New Year’s dance. Get ready for some swing, Latin, light rock and jazz music (be there or be square). Doors open at 6:30 pm with the beer wine and cider bar open.

Thanks to all the volunteers who help with the dances, they couldn’t happen without you!

Ann Matthewson on behalf of Jay Alexov and the dance committee.
