The Sechelt Seniors Activity Centre is a vibrant hub of activity and engagement for the local community. With a diverse array of activities, the Centre caters to the needs and interests of seniors and people of all ages. Here’s a rundown of some of the activities we would like to highlight:

  • Strength for Seniors is now available twice a week on Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4:15 pm in the Craft Room with Liz Hills.
  • Zumba Gold has moved to a Friday morning session at 9:30 in the Craft Room.
  • Welcome back Collene for Line Dancing on Thursdays at 4:30 pm.
  • Handwriting Analysis with Don Plessis continues on Monday November 4th and 18th at 11 am.
  • Creative Crafts with Nicol Mentis continues on Mondays (not November 11th) at 2 pm in the Lunch Room. The first session was a fun success and who knows what the next session will bring?
  • Thanks to Anthea Penne for attending the first Local Authors Book Club and sharing Old Stories. This month we will be discussing Caitlin Hick’s A Theory of Expanded Love.
  • Music Trivia hosted by Connie Yan will be held on Tuesday November 26th from 5-7 pm – join us for fun & music $6.
  • Salsa! Learn the basic steps of this fun Latin dance with Edmund on Fridays, 1:15 to 2:15 pm in the Craft Room, starting November 8th!
  • Karaoke will be heading our way in December – Save the date – Thursday, December 12th!
  • Two new possible activities for the New Year are Games (card & board) and Conversation Café which are both social, fun and good for the brain.
