The Haight-Ashbury dance was another fun evening with lots of smiles and dancing to great music. We had lots of Hippies around. The best costumes price $50 gift certificate donated by Batch 44 was won by Margaret and Andre. The $85 50/50 draw was won by Bob Dall. The free tickets for next month’s Monster British Invasion Dance were won by Ron Meyer and Jim Heney.
Thank you again to everyone who comes every month to help with setting up and decorating for our dances and those who stay after the dance to help take it all down. Also, thanks to all the volunteers who work during the evening to make it a success and fun for everyone.
In October, back by popular demand, Mitch Lazer will be back this time with Monster British Invasion for Halloween Bash. Eddy Edrik on vocals and guitar, Bruce Mortimer on bass, Bill Barclay on keyboard and of course Mitch on drums. The group will be playing the favourites we love and also adding in some spooky familiar tunes. Now’s your chance to dress up in your costume and get ready to dance!
